History

EDP has been helping businesses to manage health, safety, environmental and sustainability issues for more than 25 years. Established in the UK in the early 1990s, the company has continued to grow its offering over the following decades to include a full suite of health and safety services that has enabled it to work with some of the biggest and most well-known organisations in the world. In the early 2000s, we expanded our offering with the addition of environmental management and were at the forefront of offering sustainability services before sustainability became such a hot topic.

In 2014, the EDP management completed a buy-out from the founder. In 2017, EDP completed the strategic acquisition of IOM Consulting Ltd asbestos site services division encompassing over 30 staff and 4 new offices in the UK. Expansion continued globally, with the establishment of further offices in Singapore (2018), Sydney (2018), Hong Kong (2021), Brisbane (2021) and Tokyo (2022). Further office expansion in Australia included offices in Newcastle (2022) and Melbourne (2023). EDP has attributed this rapid growth to the inclusion of industry leaders and experienced consultants to ensure it continues to focus on driving excellence in serving and supporting businesses to help safeguard people, protect property and leave a positive legacy for our planet.
